I had a desire to hold these things in my hand again so a searchin' I did go. I've scored the McDonald's coffee stirrers and will post a picture soon. They were essentially a white plastic stick with a M on one end and a spoon on the other. They were discontinued in the late '70s because they were being used for coke spoons. The pull tabs used to all over the place in the '60s and '70s. They were a frequent nuisance for a barefooted child. In the '80s manufacturers redesigned cans to exclude the disposable ring and tongue. The new design is brilliant but now I would like to see my old nemesis one last time.
